Today - an industry leader
Kimberley Fine Diamonds is now one of Australia's largest suppliers of the rarest diamonds in the world, the exquisite pink diamond. Kimberley Fine Diamond's range of pink diamonds is sought the world over and includes diamonds acquired from the exclusive Argyle Pink Diamond Tender at the nearby Argyle Diamond Mine.
To put the true rarity of these special pink diamonds into perspective, of every million carats of rough diamonds produced at the mine, a mere one carat is suitable for auction at tender. Kimberley Fine Diamonds is proud to have six pink tender stones in its collection. And the town Frauke once regarded as the end of the earth is now a busy tourist gateway to the Kimberley bustling with culture.
Kimberley Fine Diamonds is top of the list for well-healed travellers looking for a special memento of their trip to the region. In fact some clients make a special trip back to the Kimberley just to return to KFD and make another purchase. The business is enjoying unparalleled success, with an expansion of facilities, workspace and staff, all required to accommodate both local and international demand.
In 2009 Kimberley Fine Diamonds was invited by Rio Tinto and Argyle Pink Diamonds to showcase its handcrafted designs at the G'Day USA - Australia Week celebrations in New York. The invitation to attend was recognition of the unique element of our designs inspired by the Kimberley landscape. The showcase of pink diamond jewellery went on to become a travelling exhibition, visiting major US cities in the promotion of the extremely rare diamond.
As part of the showcase Kimberley Fine Diamonds was also invited to create a tie pin for famous Australian film director Baz Luhrmann who was recognised at the G'Day USA event for his creation of the epic Australia. Kimberley Fine Diamonds created a beautiful 18ct white gold tie pin set with a rough Argyle Pink Diamond cut in the shape of Australia.
Kimberley Fine Diamonds was also invited to create a set of champagne diamond cuff links, also cast in the shape of Australia, for actor and Australia movie star, Hugh Jackman.
G'Day USA - Australia Week is an annual festival held in the United States which showcases the very best of Australian culture, business and tourism.
